Face - Facelift

As we grow older different parts of our body especially face starts to sag. If you live in a place where there is no gravitational force none of our body parts would ever sag. But gravity is not only the factor for sagging of the skin of the face and the neck, the most important other culprit being the Loss of Skin tone and Elasticity of the skin, which gradually reduces with age. If you are bothered by the signs of aging in your face, at JMJ cosmetic center we have one of the best plastic surgery clinic in the country which provides world class facelift and neck lift surgical procedures as a viable solution for your ageing concerns.

Facelift Surgery is done to remove excess of loose, sagging skin of the cheek, face and neck which produces wrinkles. With aging the facial skin looses its tone and texture resulting in numerous visible wrinkles on the face and neck. The facial skin can be tightened along with the tightening of the underlying muscles and also the neck, which gives more youthful appearance to the face. This gives the individual 5 to 20 years younger look. The results of facelift last for atleast a decade if not more.

Brow Lift:

Sagging eyebrows can be lifted higher to their proper location either by removing skin from just above the eyebrows or at the hair line, or by a cut extending form one ear to the other ear, right across the scalp. Eyebrow lift is done as an out patient procedure under local anaesthesia. It can also be done along with the facelift.

Plastic Surgery Facelift : Surgical Procedure
Incisions are made in the hairline of the temple, around the ear, and into the hair behind the ear. The skin and underlying tissues of the neck and cheek are then lifted and tightened, and excess skin is removed. The platysmal muscle bands are also resurrected thus re-establishing a more youthful appearance. Dr. JMJ often performs facelift under local anesthesia with conscious sedation with the patient having no recollection of the procedure. Most healing following a facelift occurs during the first two weeks, although some swelling and discoloration and tightness may last a few more weeks. Cover-up make-up can be applied in one week to camouflage residual bruising and discoloration. Most patients take at least ten days from work.
